Nothing out there will give you better results and smart enough functions and features to keep your engine. Or go with anything else (Elite 1500, 2500, Nexus) if you want to retain DBW or rewire the entire car. Go with an Elite 750 if you want to convert to a cable driven TB. Anyhow, here's what I've provided to the community. The hands down best tuning method for that engine is a Haltech ECU. Once it's turned into a brick, you won't be able to turn it back into an ECU. Starter motor INSPECTION PINION GAP ADJUSTMENT (1) Disconnect wire from M-terminal of magnetic switch. Here's my only warning- if you ever think you may not have the installs correct or that you have selected the wrong vehicle DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FLASH THE ECU. It's like diagnosing a car via text messages- it's not worth my time and you'd likely be faster figuring it out on your own. As far as the ECU end goes, youll need a 98/99 ECU, an Openport 2.0 cable, and Ceddys CeddyMods w/ SD. I've really only helped two people with their installs and each instance took about 3 hours away from time I should have spent working on my own projects. Most people use a GM 3 bar MAP and a GM IAT. It's not that I don't want to, it's that each setup can be slightly different and without the system in front of me, I can't really answer questions.
